Alstom T&D bags Power Grid’s contract worth Rs67 cr

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd has awarded a contract worth Rs67 crore to Alstom T&D India to expand and upgrade the energy management system of various control centres in the North East region.

The project involves supply, installation, test and commissioning of 87 remote terminal units and nine control centres. Alstom T&D and Alstom Grid UK had earlier received a contract worth Rs1820 million from PGCIL to supply and refurbish high voltage direct current converter transformers.

The power transmission and distribution major has further leveraged its presence through the recent orders.
