Lucknow gets new development projects by CM

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh inaugurated a new building at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Lucknow’s largest 200-bed hospital for pregnant women and newly born. He also inaugurated the international cricket stadium and CG City at Shaheed Path in the state capital, built on 846.49 acres of land. It comprises an IT City, an Indian Information Technology Institute, a modern dairy plant, a super-specialty hospital, an administrative academy and a modern medi-city and a cancer institute.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of a new project, Shaan-e-Awadh worth Rs 500 crore, to be developed as a commercial centre with different facilities on about 56 acres of land near Gomtinagar Extension.

A modern facilities equipped Rs 11 crore model, state-of-the-art air conditioned bus terminus was inaugurated by him at Qaiserbagh in Lucknow.

There was also the riverfront projects on the Gomti in Lucknow, a fancy, hi-tech and sprawling Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the trial run of a small stretch of the Lucknow Metro Rail and the 302-km long Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

He dedicated a new swimming pool at JP International Centre and a hockey stadium in Gomtinagar worth Rs 23 crore to the public.

“Most of these projects will be complete and available for public use in the next few months. But since it will be after the election notification, the government can’t inaugurate them. We are doing it now so that people are reminded of our efforts and commitment for development in the state,” said Yadav.

Akhilesh also inaugurated a cricket stadium-cum-sports complex, which is being constructed on 137 acres of land near Shaheed Path in Lucknow and will also house a sports academy with hostel capacity of 175 men and 75 women.

Then at Mandi Parishad, he inaugurated 3,180 projects worth Rs 1,932 crore, and laid the foundation stone of 2,022 projects worth Rs 1,103 crore.Among these were works undertaken for villages under the Janeshwar Mishra Gram Yojna worth Rs 924 crore, newly-constructed kisan bazaars at Lucknow, Saifai, Jhansi, Kannauj among others, special mandis for Lalitpur, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Banda, Mahoba and Jalaun, 183 link roads, and a 199 KW solar power plant at Naveen Mandi in Ghaziabad.
