UP Govt has created excellent infra like Expressway: Akhilesh Yadav

akhilesh YadavThe State Government has given a new direction to the infrastructure and that in the past four years, the amount of all-round development ushered in the State is unparalleled, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said.

Speaking at an infrastructure summit in Lucknow recently, Yadav said following various decisions taken by the Government and improvement in basic infrastructure, industry and businesses are thriving, and the youth, poor and the farmers are benefiting.

The Chief Minister also pointed out that the work done by the State Government to improve infrastructure in the State would usher in prosperity and would improve the economic status of the State and the country. He also said that the work done by the Government was an example to other states to follow. Referring to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, the Chief Minister said four years back nobody had even imagined of an expressway of such magnitude.

He also detailed the positive effects of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway on the State’s economy and said that work on the expressway linking Lucknow to Ballia would also be taken up at an exponential pace. The Expressway will be most beneficial for the farmers as this will extend their reach to all large markets and it will give wing to the developing economy of the State.

The Chief Minister also detailed many other initiatives, efforts, projects and schemes of his government like the ‘108’ and ‘102’ ambulance services, improvement in transmission, generation and distribution of power, the Lucknow Metro Rail and similar projects in Kanpur, Varanasi, topping of the State in sugar, milk and wheat production and distribution of free laptops to meritorious students.

The Chief Minister claimed that the Government has fulfilled all the promises made to public during past election including Lucknow Metro Rail Project. “Apart from Lucknow, Varanasi, Meerut, Kanpur and other cities will have facility of Metro rail also. Our Government will only provide Metro rail to the constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Varanasi,” asserted CM Akhilesh Yadav saying that he will come to assembly to present the next budget through metro.

ak1He further said the State Government has done much hard work in power sector and presently we have a little shortage of the electricity in the State. He also mentioned the wide ranging initiatives to protect and conserve the environment wherein the state set a record of planting 5 crore plant saplings in a single day. He also informed that the state would soon have the ‘Dial-100’ service which would transform policing in the state.

Speaking about law and order situation in the State, Akhilesh Yadav said, “If dial 100 number becomes functional, then police will reach the spot within 10 minutes and it will become an example before the entire country. We have a very good Chief Secretary. He will see who is sitting on the file. If the CM is standing behind him, he will clear the file.”

“We will work with more transparency. We want to go among people on the basis of our work,” he said.

On the occasion, Chief Secretary Deepak Singhal said the State would soon become best place in India to do business. The State Government was giving special emphasis to transparency and more and more technical assistance would be taken to complete the ongoing projects.

Managing Director of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Limited Kumar Keshav highlighted the world-class technology being used in the Lucknow Metro Rail Project and elaborated on its speedy construction.

CEO Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority Navneet Sehgal talked about current status of project claiming that Agra-Lucknow Expressway is the fastest implemented project. CM Akhilesh Yadav also awarded Sehgal as the Best Executive of the Year.

Chairman UPPCL Sanjay Agrawal said that availability of electricity has doubled in the State in last four years. It is currently 15,553 MW while it used to be 7,810 MW in 2012.

Chief advisor to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav Alok Ranjan said that Lucknow Metro, Lucknow-Agra Expressway and Energy are among top priorities of the State Government. Only development of infrastructure can trigger economic development and that was the reason that the state government was paying special emphasis on this.
