Samsung to invest Rs 5,000 crore in Noida manufacturing plant

Samsung Electronics has decided to increase its investment in its Noida manufacturing plant so that its production  capacity can be doubled.

By 2020, the company will invest Rs 5,000 crore in the plant, its biggest investment in India. This amount includes an investment of Rs 2,000 which the company had announced last year.

Samsung wants to make India it’s manufacturing and export hub and plans to send shipments to Europe, Middle East, Africa and elsewhere by 2020.

The No.1 smartphone company in the world has also set up another manufacturing facility near Noida plant. This new facility is spread over an area of 2,60000 square metres.

The Noida plant was started in 1996 and has since been making white goods and mobile phones at the facility.
