Rs.9.50cr sanctioned to 19 urban centres under Swachh Bharat Mission

ToiletUnder the Swachh Bharat Mission, the State Urban Development Agency has sanctioned an amount of Rs.9 crore 50 lakh 55 thousand for the construction of private residential toilets to 19 Urban Local Bodies in Chhattisgarh.

Municipal Corporation Korba has been sanctioned Rs 2 crore, Nagar Panchayat Pandariya Rs 1.5 crore, Nagar Panchayat Bastar Rs 90 lakh, Nagar Palika Nigam Dhamtari Rs 69.22 lakh, Nagar Palika Parishad Dongargarh Rs 53.10 lakh, Nagar Panchayat Dhamdha and Patan each Rs  45.50 lakh, Nagar Panchayat Lavan, Sahaspur Lohara, Gorela and Dabhra Rs 36.40 lakh each, Nagar Panchayat Basna Rs 36 lakh, Nagar Palika Parishad Batapara, Balod and Tikra Rs 35.40 lakh each, Nagar Panchayat Fingeshwar Rs 18.20 lakh, Nagar Panchayat Wadrafnagar Rs 16.23 lakh, Nagar Panchayat Kusmi and Chuhikadan Rs 10 lakh each.

It is noteworthy that Har Ghar Shauchalay- Har Ghar Nal Yojana is being conducted in urban areas under Swachh Bharat Mission. Nodal Officer for this scheme is Collector of each District. SUDA sanctions amount for construction of private toilets, after receiving permission from District Collector.

Earlier, the State Urban Development Agency had sanctioned Rs 4.23 crore for construction of private toilets in 6 Municipal Councils and 9 Nagar Panchayats, under Swachh Bharat Mission. SUDA had sanctioned Rs 85.15 lakh to Balodabazar Municipal Council, Rs 50 lakh to Narayanpur Municipal Council, Rs 44.25 lakh to Mahasamund Municipal Council, Rs 15 lakh to Aarang Municipal Council, Rs 12.70 lakh to Balod Municipal Council, Rs 10 lakh to Champa Municipal Council, Rs 54 lakh to Nagar Panchayat Kotba, Rs 40 lakh to Nagar Panchayat Magarlod, Rs 20 lakhs each to Utai, Bilha, Gaurela and Dabhra, Rs 12 lakh to Bhanupratappur and Rs 10 lakhs each to Nagar Panchayat Bhatgaon and Berla.
