The status of different development projects under the Smart City mission was reviewed in the meeting. The tenders for development of six citizen-friendly parks have also been floated, said CEO, Commissioner, Rashmita Panda.
The projects include the improvement of Birsa Munda Stadium, construction of multi-level car parking and smart road beside rooftop solar system.
Request For Proposal documents are being prepared for construction of command control center, auditorium, convention center, development of Brahmani riverfront and redevelopment of Panposh market complex and Smart Bus Terminus, CEO added.
Housing and Urban Development Commissioner, Secretary G Mathivathanan asked officials to frame short and long-term targets for effective project implementation.
General Administration Secretary Ashok Meena advised to utilize the technical expertise of Rourkela Steel Plant and National Institute of Technology-Rourkela for projects related to smart solutions, security and monitoring.
