Odisha launches GO SWIFT portal for ease of doing business

GO SWIFTTo mark the 75th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting, Odisha Chief Minister  Naveen Patnaik launched a portal ‘GO SWIFT’ – Government of Odisha single window investor facilitation and tracking system, to help investors as a special initiative for Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) in Odisha.

On this occasion, Chief Minister also performed ground breaking ceremony of 15 industrial projects worth Rs 11,690 crore via video conferencing at the Secretariat. These 15 projects will generate 8,187 employment opportunities.


On this occasion Patnaik said that “all necessary support required by an industrial unit during investment life cycle of a project will be provided online and all line departments of the State Government should work together to ensure EoDB and timely grounding of investments for achieving the goal.”

He urged the departments to work together to achieve the ‘Vision 2025’ laid out by the State Government under which investment worth Rs 2.5 lakh crore will generate 30 lakh jobs in the State.

CM performed ground breaking ceremony of the expansion of Paradeep Phosphates Limited with an investment of Rs 9,500 crore and inaugurated Falcon Marine Exports Limited at Balasore, a seafood processing unit developed with an investment of Rs 90 crore.

Other companies include Shree Cement Limited at Cuttack, Emami Cement, JSW Cement, Ramco Cements Limited, KTL Logistics and Services Ltd, Indo Nissin Foods Private Limited, Oricon Enterprises Ltd and Shanti Solar Private Limited.

The Chief Minister announced that the second edition of biennial Make in Odisha Conclave 2018 will be held between November 11 and 15 in Bhubaneswar next year.
