NDMC seeks public ideas, suggestions for Smart City project

ideasThe New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), which has been selected by Urban Development Ministry (MoUD) as one of the 100 smart cities to participate in the stage-2 challenge, is seeking suggestions and ideas from public for Smart City project.

The civic body is seeking suggestions about possible upgradation and development in its areas as well as finalising the revenue model of the project.

The Smart City plans will be evaluated in the second stage of City Challenge competition based on the consultations with citizens and their economic and environmental impacts. The plans will be broadly assessed for the extent and quality of citizen participation and their economic and environmental impact.

Neeraj Bharti, Director (Projects), NDMC said, “We have to make the smart city proposals more inclusive with citizen engagement. Hence, we are inviting suggestions and ideas from citizens.”

The residents of the NDMC areas can submit the ideas and suggestions on the NDMC website as well as the UD Ministry website.

The deadline for submitting the suggestions and ideas is October 25.
