Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath flagged off the first phase of the Lucknow metro line from Transport Nagar to Charbagh.
The 8.5 km line, which has eight elevated stations, was completed in nearly three-and-a-half years. The Lucknow metro line, which is part of the Phase 1 of the project, will be operational for the public from 6 am to 10 pm everyday.
The line is fitted with Alstom’s Urbalis communications-based train control (CBTC) solution. It will enable operation at 100-second headways.
