ITI Ltd to add additional racks in its Bengaluru based Data Centre

ITData CentreI Limited, a telecom manufacturing company, has announced the expansion of its data centre facility by adding another 1000 additional racks at its Bengaluru set-up.

They are also planning to set-up a new data centre at Naini, Uttar Pradesh with 200 racks capacity.

This infrastructure will empower PSU banks, central and state government undertakings and multinational corporations to have their data within the country.

“ITI has been in the Data Centre business for the last 10 years and with this increased capacity, ITI data centre will be one of the biggest PSU data centers in India. The data center will also act as a helping hand to the Government of India’s flagship initiatives like “Digital India, Make in India and Smart City”, said S Gopu, Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited.

The service offerings will be –Managed Co-location Service, Managed Dedicated Service and Cloud Services.

The state-of-the-art data centre is currently spread over more than two lakh square feet and has the capacity to house thousands of IT infrastructure equipments.

The company has already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications & IT and Government of India to play an important role in projects like BharatNet Phase II, Network for Spectrum (NFS) and Encryption projects of Ministry of Defence.
