Britain’s Finance Minister George Osborne has announced a £1 billion credit line for investment in Indian infrastructure projects.

Osborne, who is on a two-day visit to the country, said on July 8 that it is the largest single credit line they have extended to any specific sector in any country.

The visiting minister, along with British Foreign Secretary William Hague, is in India to reinforce trade and investment ties with Asia’s third-largest economy.
