Chhattisgarh CM to grace Smart City Summit, Naya Raipur on Friday

Smart City Summit, Naya RaipurTo understand the unmatchable development and progress of Naya Raipur in Chhattisgarh , Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) is organising two-day Smart City Summit in association with Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd which will be graced by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Friday.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is scheduled to be the Chief Guest of the summit, where NRDA officials and industry representatives would be sharing their vision about smart products, services and utilities that have brought recognition to Naya Raipur  in India and around the globe.

Rajesh Munat, Minister for Housing and Environment, Government of Chhattisgarh, will inaugurate the summit.

The Summit will serve as a premier platform for interacting and familiarising with the key representatives from Smart Cities and explore and discuss opportunities in Chhattisgarh.

To share the international perspective on Smart Cities, Yves Perrin, Consul General of France and representative from Belgium will also be present at the summit.

From across India,  Avaneesh Kumar Sharma, Commissioner, Moradabad Municipal Corporation; Dr Rajendra Jagtap, Chief Executive Officer, Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited; Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, Commissioner, Bareilly Municipal Corporation; Nidhi Chaudhary, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation; Munish Moudgil, Commissioner, Survey and Settlement, Revenue Department, Government of Karnataka; P K Srivastava, Additional Commissioner, Lucknow Municipal Corporation; Amit Sharma, Regional Director, Land & Reforms, Government of Jammu & Kashmir; Dinesh Waghmare, Secretary, Department of Social Justice, Government of Maharashtra; and Sidharth Sihag, Commissioner, Udaipur Municipal Corporation, Chief Executive Officer, Udaipur Smart City Limited will share latest developments and progress in various projects being carried out in their cities.

There will be various discussion segments, witnessing deliberations on issues like Smart and Green Cities, Leveraging IT and e-governance for building Smart Cities; Challenges and Opportunities in building Smart and Livable Cities; Sustainable and Green Housing and Infrastructure for building Futuristic Cities; Smart Mobility and Importance of Road Safety for Driving Smart City Mission; Driving Smart Cities Mission Through Public–Private Partnership, etc.

A special issue of eGov magazine will also be launched on the occasion.
