The Centre has reportedly written to Akhilesh Yadav-led Uttar Pradesh government, proposing to develop Amethi as a smart city.
“A communication has been sent to district authorities in this regard a,” Amethi Additional District Magistrate (ADM) M.P. Saroj said.
“Amethi will be developed as the most modernised and high-tech city having. Uninterrupted power supply,WiFi facility, roads, world class education system, e-governance, etc. would be ensured,” Saroj said.
The employment of the youth would also be focused, he added.
