300 cos from 35 nations to handle civic issues in Pune Smart City

Almost 300 companies from 35 different countries have come together to address the civic issues that are relevant to the elevation of Pune to a “Smart City”.

These firms will provide solutions with respect to traffic, garbage management, water supply, sanitation and drainage.

The Pune Smart City Development Corporation Limited (PSCDCL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) that has been set up for the execution of projects which will lay the ground work on June 25 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi launching the mission in the city.

The city has so far received approximately Rs 283 crore from the State and Union Government for this project. The project, with an estimated expenditure of Rs 3,000 crore, will be carried out in both area-specific and pan city wise in Aundh-Baner and Balewadi areas of Pune.
